Yingli Green Energy Holding Company Limited (NYSE: YGE) persuits to expand the U.S. market pushing its sales volume in the U.S. to 100 megawatt this year
A sinor executive of Yingli Green Energy Holding Company Limited (NYSE: YGE) says that NYSE: YGE’s sales volume the U.S. this year will reach 100 megawatt.
The executive says they will soon establish a factory in the U.S..
Institutional investors disclose that they are very interested in the solar energy field.
Los Angeles(Reuters). Apr 7, 2010: the Chinese solar panel manufacturer----- Yingli Green Energy Holding Company Limited (NYSE: YGE) predicts that its market share in the U.S. will be more than doubled this year. It expects to compete with its American and European counterparts for sales volume with its low production cost.
Robert Petrina, the managing director of Yingli Green Energy Amerias, said in an interview on Wednesday that the sales volume of the corporation in the U.S. market will approach 100 megawatt this year accounting for 10% of the total predicted sales volume of solar products in the U.S. market.
1 megawatt electricity is sufficient enough for 800 average Amerian households to use a year. Petrina says to Reuters, Yingli’s market volume was somewhere between 3% and 4% last year.
“we are optimistic about the demands in the coming quaters”he says, “the solar energy industry is very vibrant…judging from the current situation, I believe we can make that. ”
**Establish a factory in the U.S. soon**
Like many other companies of this industry, Yingli is also striving to seize more market share in the expanding U.S. market. The company says that it will set up a manufacturing factory in the U.S. some time this year.
Petrina says that the company is considering choosing Pheonix, Arizona or Austin , Texas as its site of factory and will soon make the dicision.
“we plan to begin to produce solar components and solar panels by the end of 2010, but to be realistically, chances are good that we can produce substantial products at the first quarter of 2011./ we are more likely to produce substantial products at the first quarter of 2011 ”he says.
By 2012, the output of the factory is predicted to reach 100megawatt from 50megawatt at the beginning of its establishment.
Institutional investors are increasingly more interested in the solar energy industry.
Petrina says Yingli will continue to cooperate with electric power project developers and the American public utilities. He predicts that the institutional investors will become increasingly more interested in this field as the solar energy industry expands.
